To complement the development of the new campus, CIRENAS has also hired new employees to develop curriculum, design and maintain permaculture systems, and manage and guide groups. As the CIRENAS team grows, so does the capacity to deliver high quality experiences to all visiting groups. As a unit, the CIRENAS team brings significant talent across various fields, vastly improving the capacity for success in the coming year.

Andrea will be working to develop a cohesive strategic plan, fundraise, and provide leadership to the CIRENAS team. She previously was the Conservation Director for the Nature Conservancy in Costa Rica. Andrea brings fourteen years of experience leading teams in conservation, sustainable investing, and regional social and environmental impact.

Daniela will lead the operations of the CIRENAS campus and the development of educational programs and course offerings. She will also coordinate conservation science projects. Daniela previously worked as a research associate for Biodiversity International, and has academic experience teaching tropical ecology science and sustainable development.

Sam started working with CIRENAS in July of 2014 and is in charge of permaculture systems on the CIRENAS campus. Sam has significant experience working with water treatment systems, renewable energy, building design, and developing sustainability based educational curriculum.

Ariadna  will be designing all of the organization’s community outreach initiatives along with coordinating experiential education programs. Ariadna brings significant experience in environmental education and community integration from her previous work with the Organization of Tropical Studies.
